I’m proud to say this month Sumy Designs turns nine. Less than 50% of small business make it past the age of four, so nine is a good indication we are doing things right. There are many components to our success, so I thought I’d list a few of the reasons Sumy Designs is amazing.
We don’t just build websites, we build relationships
When someone comes to Sumy Designs for a new project, they are hiring, Amy or they are hiring Susan. And they know they are working with us or our team that includes other remote workers. The trust that we have with our clients that we’ve built over the last nine years is a big key to our success.
We value people over profits
I spent many years in the corporate world and sadly watched as the companies I worked for did whatever it took, ethical or not, to turn the most profit. Early on Amy and I knew we wanted a business that would allow us stay on top of the design and technology world, and a work schedule which allows us spend quality time with our families.
We stay on top of current technologies
As everyone knows, technology changes at lighting speeds. What was once the latest and greatest can turn into old news far too quickly. We attend WordPress, Technology and Design Conferences to make sure your website is functional, responsive and beautiful.
We love what we do
As a design and development team, we love what we do. We love working with new and repeat clients and we love designing and developing websites. We don’t outsource our business because we love what we do – and it shows.
Susan Sullivan
Susan lives in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area with her husband and children. She is an avid distance runner, environmentalist, part-time beekeeper, chicken farmer and amateur photographer.
